Some people look forward to gorging themselves on festive treats; while others fantasize about how many gifts they will receive. The Holidays bring pleasure to everyone, in some form or fashion, even if it’s just “not having to go to work”.
I love the family time and all that jazz but only one day out of the year do my eyes light up…the day after Thanksgiving.

Yes, oh how the ads entice me the week before. The chatter on the web roars. The broadcaster reiterates that it’s gonna be BIG. I love every second of it. The best part are the DEALS! The deals one gets on that day makes me feel faint. Shoppers have said that the day after Thanksgiving has become a sport. Yes, a sport! Let me explain.




First you gotta make your game plan:
*What things do you put on the “Want List?”
*Where’s the cheapest price?
*Where are you gonna get it?
*How long are you willing to wait?

Then you gotta put your team together.
Close family and friends are easier teammates because they are more trust worthy with goods. The more teammates you have on your team, the more places you can be at one time.

Then give players their objectives and location.
Grandma, stakes out Best Buy for the 9.95 camera- reg. price $60.00
Best Friend Bob goes off to Target for the big wheel 59.85- reg. price $320.00

Now here is the hardest part the big play which is the quiet before the storm.
It’s 5am, 45degress, and your location doesn’t open til 7am. There is already 40 people in line. Do you -

A) Stay in the warm car and wait
B) go get Starbucks to warm you up
C) get into position

I hope you picked C. Note: Dress in layers and have beverages already on hand. The closer you are to the door the more likely you are to get the item you want.









“Everyone in position…now fight to the death…. Be strong and don’t give up. It’s gonna be a long game.”

Now…the moment you been waiting for. The doors open! The masses swarm in and the frenzy begins.

RUN! It’s a made rush for the hottest picks. Go! Go! Go! Nothing should stand in your way.

Now if you are not into physical sports then you can always work from the side lines.
There is a job for everyone such as the following:

Ad finder- research best deals and organize data
Driver/Escort- provides transportation and escort in rowdy crowd if necessary
Bag Handler- transports purchases between locations and to vehicle
Logistic Coordinator- team leader that makes all decisions while in play

There’s more! If you love getting your hands dirty than these awesome jobs are perfect for you:

Seeker-locates item in store and directs Grabber to item
Tackler- retrieves last of an item from opposing team, if Grabber is not available
Grabber-person acquires all items on want list- also grabs items in high demand just in case. Also calls Logistic Coordinator for final decision.
Decoy- distracts opponent when grabber is hording items for ally team in route

Even if you make it to your car alive, with purchases in hand, the Game is still not over.

You must return to home base to tally your savings. Note: Feel free to compare savings with other teams (opposing or allies) to see who had the greatest total savings.

If you saved the most, then claim your VICTORY.
